make beer

Welcome to the “Birdsong Brewery.” Hopefully soon I will add some photos of the equipment I use to brew. I will also occasionally update this page with recipes I have brewed and enjoyed.

Recipes:

hop-nest IPA

This lands somewhere between an English IPA and an American IPA. Wonderfully fruity and citrussy hop aroma highlighting the two character hops Nelson Sauvin and Amarillo. A touch of earthiness and spice from the use of Brettanomyces brings a welcomed twist to this IPA. Good bitterness but never astringent.  The Munich base balances the hops nicely to create a harmonious IPA with a difference.

ok, I really like your labels. When are you getting to DeProef, or the like and knocking up a batch?

thanks! I’ve already been reworking them to make them better. I am never pleased with my graphic work.
De Proef… yeah.. I’ll do it if you buy the lot! You haven’t even tasted any of my brews yet. I’ll start with smaller batches first… maybe at Alvinne. ;)
